I have a Spare Dish 500 Dish the LNB arm is too short beacuse of the plastic 500 adapter Is there an adapter to extend and center the LNB for 101

Or ... Should i just use the 110 postistion and hope for the best ?

There is an "I-adapter" for using the Dish 500 with a single LNB, but the Dish 500 is often used with the standard Y-adapter with a single LNB. The LNB isn't centered, but the sat can be tuned in just fine.

The Dish Network dishes are designed for "D-channel" LNBs, but the plastic adapter can accomidate a single DirecTV LNB, though the adapter is spread a bit to do so. You cannot use a Dish Network DishPro LNB for DirecTV; it would have to be a Dish "legacy" LNB, as the DishPro LNBs are bandstacked.

I thought a dish 500 could pickup 101 and 110 since they are 9 degress apart

It could, but 110 only has 3 transponders with a few MPEG2 HD channels that will soon go away and Directv hasn't yet said what will replace them.

It could, but 110 only has 3 transponders with a few MPEG2 HD channels that will soon go away and Directv hasn't yet said what will replace them. And the 110 signal has to be combined with the 119 signal through a Sat"C" kit to be recognized by Directv receivers.

To Original Poster you can use a DISH Legacy single or dual LNB(not TWIN) in either 110 or 119 position and aim at 101 but the rectangular D* LNB will require modification of the "D" mount.:)
