I want to upgade my dish to get the locals in my area and I'm planning on going to HD in the near future.
Is my old RCA DRD 420 RE receiver compatable with the new Slimline dish?
Thanks in advance for any info.

If it is the standard slimline, yes, it is compatible
if it will be slimline swm (less common) then no only HR2X's, H2X's, R22, D12

And R16.
And don't worry, they won't install a SWM Slimline while you have a older legacy receiver active on the account.

You could probably get the RCA receiver upgraded to a new D12 for free at the same time you do the HD upgrade.

Is the DirecTV 3 LNB Multi-Satellite dish compatible with an RCA DRD 515 RB?

Probably--you can check by going into the setup menu and see if that dish is listed.

That dish won't be on the receiver's setup menu as it didn't exist when the receiver was new ten years ago.
