From Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=3634):
Cyborg 009 (2001) will be premiering on Cartoon Network on June 30th at 6PM. The series is a remake of the classic 1968 Anime series. Cyborg 009 will be replacing Yu Yu Hakusho.
On August 31st, after a repeat of the original Big O, the highyl anticipated second season will premiere at 11pm. As readers may recall, this second season of Big O was co-produced (funded) by Cartoon Network. Re-runs of the original season of Big O start on July 7th.[/i]
On July 6th, Kikaider will join the Adult Swim lineup at 1AM.
(I have seen Big O when it first aired on Cartoon Network. Excellent series with one drawback... the series abruptly ended after the 13th episode with many plot points unresolved. The second season should close up these plot threads and resolve some issues such as what catostropic event caused everyone to lose their memory fourty years previous.)

ARRRGGGHHH!!!! Cartoon Network's schedule only goes up to June 6th. Under the current listing, Lupin will go on hiatus after June 5th, and returns on June 15th at 1:30 AM and that's all I know.

Any idea if Lupin restarts from 1st episode? It always looked interesting to me, but wanted to start with 1st episode. What is your opinion of the show?

Well, what Cartoon Network is airing is the second series which originally aired in the late 70s, so don't expect the polished look that you see in the modern anime. It also tends to be risque at times. Still, it's hard to believe that the guy who is constantly chasing after girls is a master thief. Still, it's a fun series.
According to Cartoon Networks schedule (http://schedule.cartoonnetwork.com/servlet/ScheduleServlet?action=viewAll&showID=325195&show=Lupin+the+3rd), the first episode of the second series airs on June 4th. And, like there was a five year gap between the first and second series, this episode has the gang reunited after five years.

Okay.... finally got some idea of what's happening.
Starting Sunday, June 15th and running Sundays-Thursdays:
1:00a - Reign the Conqueror
1:30a - Lupin the Third
Both series will be starting from the first episode of each series.
Also, Rurouni Kenshin, either this week or next week (not sure) will be airing new episodes. Expect a lot of trimming and digital coverups for Toonami. (Why the heck they aired this during Toonami instead of Adult Swim is beyond me).

I know that a few years ago, Toonami did air Thundercats. As for transformers... which series?

Speaking of Transformers, I wish they would bring back the original series. After GI Joe on early Sunday morning they should show Transformers!

Bump. It appears that Cyborg 009 is a 49 episode series that ran from November 2001 through October 2002, so it's pretty new. However, it was originally created in the 1960s.
