You're REALLY asking for trouble if you want to see pix of my HT wiring.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'd post one but they'd cancel my homeowner's policy!

I still don't get why people don't take the extra time to finish up installs.
Although wall drops, tying up wiring and overall tydiness can be time consuming and sometimes more difficult; it does give not only a better all appearance, but more so, a feeling of pride to the installer much less the consumer/user.
LOL; ALL of my installations are CLEAN. No wires visible no matter how much equipment and cableing is being installed. But then again; you get what you pay for, or labor for as the case may be...

I still don't get why people don't take the extra time to finish up installs. It's funny, but I have wired my share of professional installations (sound systems, recording studios, home theaters, etc.) and have always been very neat in my wiring there, but I just don't see the need in my own system for some reason. I would like to rip my HT wiring apart and totally redo it, but I just don't want to take the time. I guess I figure that it all works and if I mess with it that something will go wrong.
The problem with my rack is that when I built it I didn't leave enough access in the back to get at everything properly. Well, at least I have an excuse, I think.

Mrs. Fluffybear has been on my case about cleaning up the cables behind the HT systems but from the looks of things, I pale in comparison to some. :gott:
My HT install is relatively clean. AVR, TiVo w/500G WD Expander and LG HDDVD/Blu-ray player are all on a Carina particle board equipment stand from OfficeMax. Wiring to surrounds, center rear and outdoor speakers is all via in-wall prewire, so I have a rather short and neat bundle going to wall plates. The same with Ethernet and coax cables. AC to all the equipment is through a Panamax surge supressor mounted on the back of the stand. We have a new puppy, so everything is protected temporarily by 1/8 hardboard panels which keep her from getting at any wiring. Not pretty, but functional.
For the most part my setup is real clean, other than my media closet, I have been wanting to "take pride" in my labors, but alas I will have to wait until Mrs. Smiddy is done with school.

What a mess... ;)
Mine are all pretty clean or at least tidy. I cant stand it when cables are a mess, though sometimes it does just happen.
My theater HT is fairly messy as they are built in cabinets and I have to slide everything back in (aka cannot access them from behind to make things neat). I really hate that, but no choice.
My main living room is built ins as well, but since my LCD is on an arm holding it I can swing it out a bit and everything was done with flex piping so it was really clean. Then a few things changed and so there are a few wires draping, plus my new LCD is large enough that it cannot swing enough on the arm to allow good access to the area behind.
