I recently had some viewing problems with my legacy receiver HR10-250(owned) after going back and forth with a case specialist i was told i could have an upgraded receiver an hr-22 today when I get home i found 2 HR22 receivers! i thought to myself ok someone goofed and they did.
the account lady on the other end told me 2 were ordered but one was canceled but made it out the door. she didn't say they were sending a box to get it. my other receiver in the living room is an hr21 (leased) which is fine.
what do i do with this hr22?

and see if its under my account or not

I would hate to be charged $470 for a receiver that they sent me

Usually they will send you a Fedex shipping label to return it. I would give it a week and if you don't see it, call them back. Yeah, I would hate to get charged for an extra DVR if you don't need it. But, I don't think they would charge you $470. I think they are around $199. :)

$199 is the lease fee, and what you'd pay if you activated it. $470 is the "own" fee, also the "you kept it but didn't activate it" price.

Call fed ex and refuse shipping for the duplicate.

The OP said they've both already arrived.

If they left it at the front door w/o a signature, it can still be refused. I'd just keep a copy of the tracking # if I was going to do that.

This happened to me before I had an R15 die and the PP sent 2. I just activated 1 as a replacement (owned) and the second one as a "free" one (leased). They may just let you activate it, you can not have too many DVRs :D
