Blue Led model D12-500

Now that I have that been told how to turn off that irritating blue circle light on my HDDVR :D

Can you guys tell me how to turn off the blue led on the standard D* model D12-500 receivier :eek2: Man that led is bright. In my bedroom that led is brighter than led nitelite's that I have in my hallways.

Right now I have a small strip of black tape over the led :D

HA HA!!! The blue led light on the D12 in my 6 year old daughters room we use as her night light AKA "Anti-Monster light":lol::lol:... She wont go to sleep without it! We also use it as a night light in my 4 month old sons room..

May be a little silly but, hey it works and i get sleep at night:hurah:

no I do not like having it brighter than a night light. no monsters here :p

and yes the Black Tape is working fine for me now:eek2:

Just hold down the left ring and push the right one 4-5 times. You will have to do this after each sw upgrade.

There is no ring on the D12.

thats what I do for my receiver in my stateroom on the boat I work on.. its just TOO bright to leave on. Makes for a nice nightlight ;)
