Adding a hd/dvr need 10 tuners now

I want to add another hd/dvr 2line box. However i am out of ports on my multiswitch. If i call directv and they come to my home will they install the box but more importantly upgrade the multiswitch to recieve the ten tuners i need? Is there a fee to get the new switch? IF not do they make a ten tuner output switch i could buy and just hook up myself? thanks

What they should do, and what most likely will happen is they will use 4 splitters and provide a second switch to add eight extra ports. You could buy a wb616 for about a hundred and it would look nicer

As part of the installation, DirecTV will provide a solution to get signal to that additional receiver. Most likely it means splitting lines and using 2 WB68s, but it could be something else, depending on what the installer has available and what you and he agree on.

Do not let the installer put in another WB68 and cascade it off the first WB68 (so outputs of one are feeding the inputs of the other). That is not an approved configuration, and could result in problems (not damage) later.
