View Full Version : Slimline 3 - SWM conversion
This morning I converted a recently installed Slimline 3 DirecTv dish to a Slimline 3 SWM.
I initially had an error on sat 99 13v signal strength
I ran a signal strength test and had Identical signal strength to prior to the new LNB installation on all sat's
Sysytem appears to be ok with one exception
When I ran signal strength on the "SWM" I had the following signal strenghts
1 - 95
2 - 95
3 - 95
4 - 0
5 - 100
6 - 100
7 - 100
8 - 100
9 - 100
Can somone here comment... please
Thanks

0 usually means that SWM channel is in use. Either you only have one receiver or multiple receivers that are tuned to the same transponder.
Thanks for your prompt reply.......
I do in fact have one receiver installed, it is an R22 DVR and I have both tuners enabled.
I am not currently using as splitter, as I only have one receiver connected.

With one reciever connected and in the setup signal strength screen, you should have no zeros.
I have three DVRs & one receiver [seven tuners] and the only time I can get no zeros, is when all of them are in the setup screen. When I'm using one to align the dish, it always shows all of the SWM "channels". Then later as more tuners come on line [in the normal system], I have a zero for each tuner on the system.
