Look for them to become active at around 5pm. If you don't have them by then do a check switch and you should be happy. :D

Juan,
Officially they are not coming until tomorrow the 29th. But as Scott says, look for them about 5pm Eastern.

I was really surprised it was announced for the 29th, Wednesday is typically new channel day
They may be available now, I'm now getting channels 827, 833, and 847. Also the Dish Latino music-only channels now appear in my guide on 874 to 879. I can't see 110° so I don't know about the other new spanish channels.

Dish must be having some kind of problems, just a second ago Telefutura west was blacked out and now it's not listed in the guide.
I'm getting both Telefutura E & W , but the East Feed is showing "this program has been blacked out in your area...". I see the blackout symbol through the rest of the program guide. Is it East blacked out on West and vice-versa?
how many channels did they add at 100?

That's what I was thinking, but thats kind of a dumb set up. The West coast feed still is gone from my EPG.
East coast is gone from my guide. They must have required this as part of the contract.

Looks like three. Univision West and Telefutura east and west. The rest are just remaps of what is already available

Juan what state do you live in. How did you get both feeds of Telefutura?

I'm just wondering why Dish is putting them in the 800 block. If they punch in a channel, there will be a delay as the receiver is expecting a fourth digit for locals.
Or, is Dish going to rely exclusively on local channel mapping and phase out the 8xxx channels.

hehe - interesting angle...
maybe they never thought of that (800 vs 800x)
at the same time - with all the locals coming out - who is to say that Dish will not be using 6000 block (or even 2000 block, etc) sometime in the Near Future :)

Heres what I'm seeing in AT-150:
827 - UNVSN (East)
828 - UNVSW (Univision West)
831 - FTRAW
833 - Galavision West
847 - Toon Disney (Mirror including descriptions)
I'm surprised they don't mirror the "public interest channel" HITN in the 8xx block.

I get telefutura east on the new york locals..telefutura west in at 100
I emailed Dish Network about Telefutura. This was there response.
DISH Network customers who live in the Eastern & Central time zones will receive the east coast feed of Telefutura. Customers living in the Pacific and Mountain time zones will receive the west coast feed of Telefutura. Customers will only see the applicable Telefutura channel in their EPG.
On the subject of Spanish Channels. I emailed Sky Angel about adding Spanish Language Programming. This was their response:
We will be adding FE TV from La Familia this August.

They're both on the same bird, no matter who watches them.

Yea, just wait till DirecTV starts offering Telefutura West then you'll see Dish put it on for all. Dish would have done the same with Univision but since DTV has Univsn West there you go.
