I called check on a faster DSL connection. They uped my internet from 3 Mps to 7 Mps. I already had verizon land line but they offered me a discount if I buddled DSL, Land line and D. So, I get the same stuff I already had plus faster internet and save about $20 a month to boot.

You would get a discount for DIRECTV but how much would it be for?

If you still have a landline at any of the normal phone companies, it will pay to call them to see what you can get from them. THey often add discounts or new services, but will happily keep you on teh higher priced service unless you ask. I called ATT a couple of months ago and was able to save about $25 a month and keep the same service level I have now due simply to new producst they have that are rebranded to try to compete better.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal! Do you happen to know what the upload speed is out of curiosity?

There maybe a thread out here already, but can't find the specifics to my question. I already have D*. I have three receivers....all three are under the lease contract. I have Verizon as my mobile phone carrier, Cox Cable as my Internet provider, and AT&T as my land (house) provider. What does it take to bundle these all together? Is it worth it? What do I need to be careful of? Does Verizon offer something for all four that I mentioned?

I called Verizon today to ask if there's any plans to upgrade my area from the 1.5Mbps down. No go. So I asked if they wanted to counter an offer by TW for RR @ $29.99/mo. with a converting Verizon DSL customer discount of $10/mo to bring it to $19.99/mo. and digital phone @ $24.95/mo. and the best offer i could get was $64.98, digital phone @ $34.95/mo.! I tell the Verizon CSR that TW phone is $10/mo. less and her only reply is, "Yeah, I know". I've been told by Verizon employees the company doesn't care about this area and it shows.
