I am just curious, has anyone tried to use the MX500 universal remote control to control all your audio/ video equipment? They are sweet! I have one here at home for my set up and they do EVERYTHING! It is made by Universal Remote and there was a write up about it on www.remotecentral.com (http://www.remotecentral.com) Haven't been there lately so don't know if it is still there.

The MX-500 is a great remote. I've got two--one for the living room and one for the bedroom. Being able to clone one remote to the other after I was done setting it up was a great advantage and a real time saver.
My MX-500's are controlling 3 televisions, two DirecTV Tivos, a Dish Network 501 and a 508, my DVD player, an audio receiver/VCR combo, and even my air conditioner.
I can't live without mine. I think I posted an unsolicited rave about it a while back.
Get the JP-1 kit at bluedo if you can find discrete codes for your devices that arent on your remote. Made Macro programming kid-proof.
I have it controlling a Receiver, DirecTivo, DVD/CD changer, LD, TV, Video Camera, and VCR. Changed the batteries for the first time in over 6 months.

I've been looking at the MX 500's! I can't seem to get my Dish remote to work with my Sony DVD/Tuner Surround Sound DAV-C990. Because it's a combo unit. I've really only got 3 components to use it on, TV, DVD/Amp, 721.
Wonder if it would work with Sattelite Radio? Delphi SKIFi ?

As long as those components have a remote, they should work with the MX500, John. Its a learning remote and is very easy to program!!
