Hello!

So, we have DVR downstairs on a TV we hardly use and a receiver upstairs. We (my family and I) wanted to switch the two and so I was donned with the task of switching them. Now, I have brought the DVR upstairs, presumably, with all the correct connections (I thought/hope). BUT there is now an "Attention 015" message on my screen indicating I have no signal! Ah. Is there anyone who can possibly help me figure this issue out?

I spoke with 6 Dish Network representatives who were all very unhelpful and kept suggesting I contact a Technician and pay 100 dollars. I think not.

Anyone with any ideas/suggestions, please?!

Thanks!

The technicians you spoke with on the phone will usually be able to spend a few minutes with you to troubleshoot the issue because more than likely it's just that the cables (coax) coming from the wall are not connected properly into the Satellite Input 1 and 2 ports on the back of the receiver.

We need a bit more info in order to help you out... Different receivers do have different requirements, so knowing the models of receiver, the dish type on your roof, any other items that might be "sharing" the same coax connections, etc. would help us narrow things down.

Specifically, we need the model numbers of the receivers, the type and model of the LNB(s) on the dish, and the model of multiswitch if you have one. Dish's systems can get fairly complex, especially with dual-room receivers, and quite often there's a lot more to do than simply swap the receiver locations. With enough information we could help you, but know now that it's possible that you won't even be able to get things working without some re-wiring or changing dish/switch components. On the other hand, it could be something simple, too.

If there's a TV2 output, how was it routed (direct line, backfeed on the satellite input?) and which room is now to get TV2?

Well we have 5 replies asking for information and OP hasn't responded to requests guess he solved his problem or never had one.
