I've got two boxes in my arkansas home right now. a 722 and a 625. i bought two new tvs. one for the bedroom and one for another room. They're both lcd. one is 36 inch and the other is 42. So obviously i want hd on both. But the CSR told me all i could do with dishin it up is upgrade the 625 to a 622. NOT a 722, and that won't help because only one feed is HD.

What should I do to resolve this, and why would I sign a 2 year renewal to get outdated equipment, and only 1 of the two tv's to hd?

The 722 only can output one HD and one SD it can't output 2 HD feeds.
I don't even think the 922 will have that capability.

Best thing you can do is trade the 625 for a 612 and try to get an additional 612. This way you'll stay in the leased limit of leased tuners if they'll let you lease a 612. They might not let you because there's a shortage of them. Honestly it looks like if you want to keep the 722 and have HD and DVR capabilities on the other 2 TVs 2 612s are the only option, which will cost you. eBay is your best bet to acquire 2 612s unless by some miracle Dish will lease you 1 and even longer of a shot 2. If you get them on eBay you'll probably have to spend around roughly $400-$600.

Now,if you just want HD and not HD and DVR capabilities than you could lease 2 HD standard receivers 2 211s,but if you want HDDVR for 3 tvs good luck. I have a 722 and 612 leased. I had to buy my other 612. In the end you'll probably have to pay so I would just come to that realization and figure out what your budget can handle.

yeah see that's the kind of thing i was hoping to find.

I DON'T need DVR access for the other two tvs. so getting two hd but no dvr would definitely fix the problem

Do i need to call dish back, or just wait till the guy shows up?

Call them before the tech comes out that way he'll have the equipment he needs.

If you don't need dvr on the two new sets, you should try for 211's, the 612's are dvr's.

Piggy-backing off this thread with a DISH'N IT UP question I have...

Currently, in 'My Offers' I have the DISH'N IT UP option to upgrade to TurboHD Silver for 3 months free w/ no commitment.

If I take advantage of this, does it eat up my DISH'N IT UP option such that I cannot use another one?

That would work out best for him. If he doesn't need DVR's 211's can be found and for a lot less money.

As long as you aren't adding receivers, then no. You can change your programming without affecting your Dish'n It Up status. Dish'n It Up is a receiver lease upgrade program.

Good deal. they're installing a wing dish now, and i'm replacing the 625 with two 211s. So it worked out perfectly.

EDIT: I have to say, i see complaints about the techs that are contracted for dish, but i must say they've been on time, and very good here. In phoenix they sucked.

he got here at 10 and the timeframe was 8 to 12. and he was very helpful.
