Hello,
Does someone have this exact setup and if so can you walk me through the exact steps and what happens? I have tried this numerous times on two receivers and it's still not recognizing the Esata Drive
HR20-700
Cavalry Esata CAXE 1TB Drive
I do the following:
1. Unplug power cord for HR from the outlet
2. Connect esata cable to Drive and HR
3. Plug in power cord into outlet for the Esata Drive
4. Let the Drive start spinning (I hear it but it's not loud, Blue LED on)
5. Plug in power cord into outlet for HR
6. A couple mins later the receiver powers up (I hear the internal HD running, but the external is still silent and has the Blue LED, sometimes it turns purple)
7. When the HR finally restarts it goes back to my original guide and playlist from the internal HD
Should i be hearing the Esata Drive spinning when it connects? Why does it sometimes show blue or purple LEDs? Could this be defect? Should I return to Amazon?
Please advise.
