Ok. A big Thursday 10 pm for NBC's "Southland". It's retained a lead against "Harper's Landing" on CBS while ABC had "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" reruns. From MediaWeek (http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/63310451/m/110103402):

"Grey's/PP" return this week. So what are you going to watch/record?

Apparently, many of us here are going to record more than one. Make's one wonder how the networks will ever make programming decisions in the future.

It appears that we have about the same ratio between "Southland" and "Harpers Island" as last week and that a new "Private Practice" would have only a slight effect. But the problem with this poll so far is that we are way out of line from prior weeks ratings numbers for the last two minutes of "Grey's Anatomy".
The poll is still open to anyone who has yet to indicate what they are watching/recording tonight.

Southland for sure .. 2 episodes in and I'm really starting to dig this show. Too bad Leno has the 10pm time slot next year :nono2: Hopefully the show will keep the same Edge that it has started off with.

In addition to Greys, Private Practice and Southland - Build it Bigger, Sharks vs Anaheim
In bold is the only one Ill watch semi-live.
Private Practice shouldn't be on the list, as it starts after the Grey's Anatomy 2 min overrun.
Never mind, I reread the actual question. You can add one vote for Private Practice, as I will record that during the 10:00 PM slot as well as the last 2 min of Grey's and Southland.

Using the Nielsen info from here (http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/04/24/thursday-ratings-abc-wins-southland-parks-rec-harpers-island-all-lower/17318) it's obvious we aren't among the Niesen viewers:

Given that at 9:30 pm, CBS' CSI had the most viewers, it's obvious people made choices at 10:00 pm. That "Private Practice" held the lead in both total viewers and the 18-49 demo doesn't bode well for "Southland" even though it did do much better than "Harper's Island" by 10:30 pm as IMHO the "Harper's" folks got bored. "Harper's" doesn't matter as when it ends, it ends. But maybe some will come to "Southland" next week from both "Harper's" and "Private Practice" as ⅔ of the PP plot lines this week jumped the shark IMHO.

Just to update things here now that the CBS "Harper's Island" experiment has been shuffled off to Saturday, ABC's "Private Practice" season finale led the demo last night in both the 10 pm and 10:30 pm slots while a rerun of CBS' "Criminal Minds" grabbed back the lead in the total viewers in both slots. From TV By the Numbers (http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/05/01/thursday-ratings-abc-wins-southland-continues-to-head-south/17815): The big news at 10 was the continuing slide of NBC’s Southland, down another 14% in the demo vs. last week. Robert and I were both confident it was going to be renewed. I still think it will be, but I am less confident now.
