Sat-Go Reception Question

I am going to purchase a Sat-Go now that the price is reduced. I plan to use it while tailgating and on fishing trips. I usually take a couple of trips to Ontario Canada, about 100 miles north of the 1000 Island Bridge in New York. I know that Directv can not broadcast in Canada, but will I be able to pick up the signal in Canada with the Sat-Go assuming a clear path to the southern sky?

But will work fine from a technical perspective. You may not get your locals however if you are out of the spot beam..
