Since V 1.11 and 1.12 the fan on my 721 was on a lot more than before the updates. I have checked the temperature and it has not changed since 1.10. Anyway, I solved the problem using four of the little plastic feet that you would use on furniture legs to keep the legs from boring holes in rugs. I put one under each of the little raised areas in the four outer corners of the 721. It stopped the fan problem simply by allowing a bit more air under the PVR. Anyone whose fan is constantly on might want to try this very cheap possible fix.
