I had an HR22-700 installed yesterday to replace my HR10-250.
Today I was going through the movies available through the guide. The Movie Guide started at 6 AM this morning, even though I started looking at about 11 AM. I scrolled through the movies and at around 1 PM of the movies available, the screen said something about "searching for available content" and I can see it's searching. But instead of taking me back to the time I was at in the search, 1 PM, it starts all over again at 6 AM.
I start scrolling again and the same thing happens.

It happens on my DVRs too. I assumed it's that way for everyone.
The search function for all the newer HD DVRs is not working properly, and it has never worked for me.
A simple search using the guide filters "movies", "all" returns a list of movies that include PPV and movies from channels that are not in my package of subscribed channels, and I started from a custom fav list that had all those channels deleted. Over half of the movies in the "filtered" returns are not what I want to see in the search results, and the channel name is not listed so I can see that it is a non-subscribed channel, though the channel # is listed. I just have to know which channel #s I get.
The other thing you mentioned, about how the list resets itself every few minutes, going back to the start time, is especially frustrating, and prevents you from looking for movies more than a few hours in the future as it resets itself before you can slowly scroll ahead again.
Both of these problems are well known and have been ignored by the development team, or at least it seems that way, since nothing has been done about it and it seems a glaring departure from a functioning search feature.
I guess only a few people use or complain about this problem.

Thanks for the replies. After 10 years with a TIVO and the Directv/TIVO, the HR23 is going to take some getting used to.
