Who cares?
No disrespect, I just hate these channels. Thank goodness for favorite lists.

I agree entirely. I want all premium movie suite channels to be added along with ALL the suite channels of mtv, muchmusic of canada, vh-1, nickelodeon, fox sports, sky news and bbc, goodlife and ovation and other channels. The shopping channels are getting to be a bit much.

I'm glad to see that D* is adding more HDTV channels. I've been planning to upgrade my television and D* receiver for HDTV, but wanted more HD channels before making the investment.
Scott, if memory serves, you posted several months ago that a good source at D* told you they would be adding more premium movie channels (like HBO Comedy), as well as International channels to their channel line-up. Is that still planned or did they change their minds?
Thanks

I'll give it plenty of disrespect... plenty of other good channels, and more of this dreck...
I want my HBO COMEDY
I just ordered D* equipment and plan to add the HBO pack.
I SECOND Rick P! I want my HBO COMEDY too!!!!!!!
I would like HBO Comedy myself..... I wouldn't mind the Tennis Channel...... I have no HDTV so these channels are no big deal...... I'm sure I will have one by 2020.......

I ignore shopping channels a lot, but sometimes I get stuck on one of those infomercial channels on E*.
If any of you want HBO Comedy, get DISH because they have it.

No thanks, Had enough of E* crap!
I emailed DirecTV a week ago, requesting a channel addition be made in the form of Goodlife Television.
By the way, I also have Wide Open West cable in Southeast Michigan (Detroit) market. On one channel is Women's Entertainment, which I get on DirecTV. WOW is moving WE from analog to digitial cable. So what channel, in case you'd like to ask, will take over for WE on WOW's analog slot? The Hallmark Channel. Geesh!
No matter what I try to do, it appears as though Goodlife TV is not coming to my TV -- and that is not good.

I really don't care all that much about this addition as long as they compress the other shopping channels to make up for the addition of this one. Anyone know which TP this channel will be linked to?
Directv has plenty of shopping channels as it is . We don't need MORE shopping channels . We need programming shows . less shopping channels .
I agree (like any normal, red-blooded American male should) that we can do without the extra shopping channels. While we all like getting more channels, I would be happy to see them pass on this channel and conserve space.
Technical question from a still-learning techno-geek: Can Directv compress different channels at a different rate? If so, it would make sense to me for them to compress certain channels where picture detail isn't as important.
