I didn't see this posted, so thought I'd mention. An eagle-eye fan has been viewing the html source code on the HDTV DirecTV page for two months and struck gold  A commented out section mentions this -- go take a look, if it hasn't been removed. I sure hope this is soon... A BIG KUDOS to mystical_phenix at this AVS Forums thread here (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=266030)

YOU LOVE WATCHING HDTV CHANNELS, NOW GET PREPARED TO WATCH MORE!
New to the DIRECTV HD line-up are ESPN HD, Discovery HD Theater and HDNet movies. Pricing and packaging information coming soon. Make sure you have the right equipment to view them.

Got to this URL (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/imagine/HDTV.jsp) Then select "View > Source" or whatever option your browser provides to view the page's source code. Page down and it's there in all it's glory.

How is this a good thing?

Ok, let's see... Comcast offers free HD hardware, no contract, more HD channels (to include the national broadcasters) and at no additional cost from their Digital package... and DTV is taking a channel away from it's regular lineup, charging a lot more for three more channels.

I'm missing something here...

One thing you may be "missing" is that there are folks like me who may have a lousy cable company like mine (Cox cable) for a provider and Cox could care less about HDTV in my area. I would love to be able to get HDTV though my cable company -- but I've been waiting for years. Just across the county line is Bright House (formerly TW) that's been offering HDTV for 2 1/2 years -- but Cox keeps dragging it's feet here. Unfortunately, no OTA HDTV here either until the fall from my locals. This is just one more avenue for HDTV. But I agree, the costs need to be held down.
