Is the SWM8 multiswitch compatible with the Slimline 3lnb dish?
Also, if I connect an HR22 to 2 of the legacy ports do I use the B-band converters?
Yes, they are compatible. But, why would you want to connect the HR22 to the legacy ports? You won't get any of the mpeg4 HD channels. (except maybe your locals)

I'm having problems getting a new HR22 to activate and I thought I'd try connecting it to the legacy ports to see if it would activate that way but I wasn't sure if I needed to add the BBCs or not.
I've already got a replacement box coming from DirecTV though.

The legacy ports do not feed the Ka-low channels, so BBCs would not be needed.
