With the NFL not broadcasting games on C-Band, will the local cable companies that operate a Fox Sports Net channel have to get Directv in order to get the NFL game hi-lights?

The Empire Sports Network which is owned by Adelphia Cable shows hi-lites of games on their "Sports Report". Will they have to get Directv to Watch the NFL games so they can tape hi-lights for their sportscast?

If this is the case, it will be a major win for satellite over cable!!!

The games will still be on Cband..How else would the local FOX/CBS get the right game...Just not in a format that regular people can get. But it is still possible they would pull it from DirecTV, the equipment would be alot cheaper..

Sports and News items are gathered by the networks for retransmission to their affiliates. C Band is used by some, Ku by others - all in formats not available to consumers - except for the occasional ITC feed. The ending of the C Band VCII feeds will have no effect on them.
