I just got this in my email, it is important enough to pass along....

First of all, thank you for taking action to stop efforts to nearly double satellite television taxes in Connecticut.

Since you have taken an interest in the issue, we wanted to let you know that Governor Rowland has included the satellite tax in his latest budget proposal to the Legislature. Since time is running out on the session, it is imperative that satellite customers like you take action AGAIN to let your legislators and your Governor know that you oppose this second tax on your service.

To write a letter, please go to http://www.stopsatellitetax.com/ and click on Connecticut again. You will find that the suggested letter is DIFFERENT from the one that you originally sent, and that the new letter goes to the Governor as well.

Again, your interest in this issue is much appreciated. Let's stand together against this unfair new tax on satellite service.

Any updates as to what is going on with the CT DBS tax? My address is in CT, I just saw my bill which include tha AT150 renewal, ESPN FullCourt package, extra receiver fee, $1.99 warranty, locals, RSN package, and LA NETs. The *tax* on this bill was 59.49. EGAD!

I've seen news of D*/E* fighting the DBS taxes in UT, etc., but nothing about CT. Have they given up?

E* doesn't care about CT for some reason. My bill went up $6 more in tax alone a month when this new law passed. I forget the total tax I pay on my satellite bill now but if I look it up I will just get mad.

It's your patriotic duty to pay your tax. How do you expect Homeland Security to work to keep us safe unless you pay for it? Paying that tax should give you warm and fuzzy feelings. :D

How bout we all just get on the bandwagon for removing Rowland from office? Then we can form a sub-cause for the satellite tax.

how about we just sacrifice any lawmaker that wants to tax the airwaves, to the angriest god we can find.
