I was just reading a review on the moxi dvr and I just wonder why dish hasn't offered this yet. Seems like it would be simple to do. It's just one of those things things where you don't know what you're missing. I actually just remembered my old ota dtv tuner used to have that feature (granted I had to manually assign the icon but it is about 4 years old afterall).

The problem is they'd have to change the SciFi icon to the Syfy icon which might kill the whole system.:D

Actually, it would be a "nice to have" for Dish in the future. Boy did the engadget HD review (http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/04/21/moxi-hd-dvr-initial-impressions/) give a long list of Bad and Ugly problems for that box.

Channel icons will be introduced to the Dish world with the ViP922. The last we heard was it should be out around the first of June. I expect we'll get more details out of Team Summit next week (or is it the week after?).
