RSTV announced today that Fox Sports Midwest will begin carrying the RSTV games, that is on all systems but Dish and Direct TV. Comcast had not been carrying the Royals, but now it seems everyone in KC except Dish and Direct tv customers will be able to watch the Royals. Why? So far this summer having FSMW has been a waste. All other baseball games are blacked out and we've had a steady diet of You Gotta See This and the Best Damn Sports Show Ever.

Full story in the Kansas City Star:

What the story doesn't recap is:
1) The Royals were frustrated that Fox Sports Midwest only carried 30ish games last season. (FSMW seems to do mostly Cardinals.) That's supposedly why they started their own network in the first place.
2) The article indicates that FSMW will now carry all (remaining) Royals Network games.
3) Does this mean that FSMW will start having alternate feeds for Cardinals/Royals conflicts?

And if you think you've got too much Best Damn Sports Show now, try subscribing to the sports pak. ;)

I had the sports pak for a while, but got rid of it when almost everything was blacked out, since there is a major league team in our area. FSMW has carried the royals in the past, but you're right, it treated the Royals like a stepchild compared to the Cardinals.
