Anyone else watching this? I was watching it on my local LA ABC 7 HD and the game looks like it's being super compressed. Any motion at all turns the players in blocky blurs. It's almost worse than SD. Same thing happens on channel 397, which I believe is the same feed of ABC 7. I've always thought ABC and ESPN have the worst HD feeds anyway, but this is just ridiculous.
It's a little fuzzy here in Houston. Hopefully the Rockets game tomorrow looks better:hurah:
Unfortunately the ABC made a business decision that will result in the end of HD as we know it on their O&O channels.

Tell the idiots at ABC to stop running their stupid subchannel at 720p. The ABC main channel is now compressed to hell as a result and the 720p subchannel (and third 480i channel) look even worse.

You know I have to say that I knew it, I just KNEW that a regular diet of true HD 1080i (at least) would likely be a rare a fleeting event. There are simply too many greedy folks in the US media to leave excellence alone or to cultivate it for that matter.
Between the over commercialization of TV programs in general (heck I believe that there are more commercial minutes during a program that acutal program content itself) and the lust for ad dollars by the networks, HD might not even be worth it in a decade.
I'll stay with my old SD tube set for the forseeable future, as the media business just seems intent on giving intelligent folks no reason to spring for expensive new flat screen and the programming to go with it.

You've made it very clear that you hate the media companies, but come on now. This is an objective, verifiable fact, not something that is subject to your belief. Even on the worst channels, I guarantee you can't point out one example of a show that has more minutes of commercials than actual show content.
Reading your posts, I honestly can't figure out why you own a TV.

I too knew that crisp HD would not live a long life on the OTA channels, but I thought it would end because of 3-5 or more SD subchannels. I never thought they'd try to squeeze two awful HD channels onto one OTA channel!
