Normally I'd put this in "The OT" forum, but because Idol is much discussed here....

Sad news (http://tv.yahoo.com/show/34934/news/urn:newsml:tv.eonline.com:20090503:121924__ER:6724 1).

Per Entertainment Weekly (http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/05/american-idol-s.html):
In honor of Adam's memory, fans can make donations to David's Race for Hope team, the singer's rep tells EW. (Contributions will be accepted through Sept. 30.)

Here's a link to the YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN0VUskg3WU) of David's speech at the 12th Annual Race for Hope 5K run/walk in Washington, D.C.

From People Magazine (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20276340,00.html):
Cook, 26, stood before the 9,000 participants on the rainy Sunday, first joking that he was there to get a tan, then rallying them around the cause before revealing the news of Adam Cook's death.

"I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor," he told the crowd, choking up over his words, "and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else right now." Adam Cook, 36, a lawyer in Terre Haute, Ind., who was married with kids, had been battling cancer for more than a decade.
