Dish Interactive Showtime Now Working

Just tried the Showtime option in the Dish Interactive channel and it is now working. It is pretty feature rich and I am impressed overall.

Seems to have equivlant of entire showtime web site. Nice App, only thing is would be nice if I could tell Event Timer to Switch To/VCR/PVR program, if I wanted to record any showings had to leave app and manually pick showing.

It is a lot like the Tivo showcase for showtime , hbo, etc. They should do the same for the other premium channels and allow search features like tivo so you could program you pvr at the same time you are surfing the preview channel showcase.
This would be a very good feature to help people plan their future viewing and help make Dish on the same level as the Tivo Showcases.

The app will have timer functionality in the next phase. It will set both remind and record timers so you won't have to leave while surfing.

I'll have to try it again, when it first showed up I got a GSOD (Grey Screen ofDeath) that requred a 5-second button reboot....

Also, while playing around in the openTV mode, what happens to any timers that might be set? will it still record or just forget about it?

Timers will fire when they are supposed to fire. And you won't get any warning from Mr. Blinky.
