I'm about to move to my new house that is already wired. The basement and family room have double cable runs but the bedrooms only have a single run. Also there are 4 cables lines already run out to the location of where the dish will be installed.

Right now I'm planning 4 HD DVRs and possibly a 5th regular receiver done the road in an excercise room.

I have a HD DVR and a regular DTV receiver connected in my old house. I recently had the two legacy receivers turned off and dont plan to use them.

First question is do I need a SWM dish or a SWM8 at my new house. Should I use the movers program? My contract is up in February and I've been with D* for 5 years or so, should I try to get a deal on the 3 additonal HD receivers I will need and agree to extend my committment?

I've read of the problems with installers not understanding SWM. What is the best way to go about this?

The SWM Lnb only supports up to 8 tunners. So, having 4 Dvrs & 1 other box, your automaticly out there.

Second, it's been stated, multiple times in many, many threads, that DirecTv currently only installes the SWM Lnb for new customers. Yes, some have managed to get one, but those are the exception, not the rule.

You'll need to either use a leagcy setup, or purchase the SWM8's yourself.

Take the dishmover and purchase your own SWM8 that will take care of your 4DVRs you can run the "5th" SD off the Legacy ports or use splitters and add a second SWM8
