In the I'm not sure I care that much department, from The Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i9813ed99c5e2b4f301ea5b71a66e8270): CBS' bubble comedy series "The New Adventures of Old Christine" is assured of a 22-episode fifth-season order. ABC has closed a back-up deal with series producer Warner Bros. TV that guarantees a full-season order to "Christine" if CBS doesn't pick up the show.

This is the second consecutive year ABC has made such a pact for the multicamera sitcom starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a neurotic divorcee. The network's chief, Stephen McPherson, is considered a big fan of the show. While the show is certainly better than alot of ABC comedies, I wouldn't know it was gone if it didn't appear in the schedule for me to record.

It's a pretty good show. Not great, but better than a lot of stuff on TV, and far better than yet another police or medical procedural or more reality TV.

I'll take Better Off Ted before Christine any day.

I'll take Better Off Ted before Christine any day.Agreed, and I even have both series scheduled to be recorded each week. When ABC picked up Scrubs from NBC it went from SD to HD, so I wonder what kind of changes ABC would make if they picked up "Christine"?

I haven't watched it in a while, so is "new" Christine still on the show?

Yes, but only in every 3rd or 4th episode.

Great news, I hope it stays on CBS,this is one of the very few sitcoms I not only enjoy, but actually find funny. I hope Gary Unmarried makes the cut as well.
