I will be moving soon and wondered about the Dishmover program. I have a 721, 4900, and 2800 receiver with a new legacy quad LNBF.
Will Dishmover replace my quad LNBF or should I take it with me?
If I have to go up on the roof to get the LNBF, why not just take down the dish too?

Take the quad with you! Dishmover will have 2 dual LNB and SW21 switches.

I had a quad when I moved last year. When I called to arrange the move, they told me that it would cost an extra $50 because of the quad. I asked if I could bring my old dish to save the $50, and they said no. If I brought my old dish, then I would have to pay $199 for the install!
So, I said I'll pay the $50, and promptly went on my roof and took the whole dish with me, listed it on Ebay and made some money.
I quite don't understand E* reasoning, I guess they really feel if a dish is left on the home, chances are the people moving in will decide to use it. I wonder how many people they sign up that way?

So the deal is if you have CC autopay and commit to 12 mos. of programming it is free for 1-2 receivers. If you have 3 or more (or a quad) it costs $50.
I have a better idea. I live in one of the "must carry" cities that requires 61.5. I think I'll ask for a free dish before I leave, then I'll have 2 dishes and 2 LNBFs to sell!

I'd say go for it!
Let me see if I have this straight, I just set an appointment for my dish mover install. I am about to buy a quad and a 721. Are you all saying that I should not buy a quad and just order it as part of dishmover and they will just charge an extra $50? Does that cover the quad also or is that extra?
I see where I can get a quad on ebay for about $70-85 and a 721 for about $515, have you seen any better deals out there?

You got it. The added cost of a QUAD to the standard Dishmover should be $50. But you should also expect to pay a little extra for the added drops.
On a Dishmover E* pays the standard amount for installation of the antenna & one receiver. So many independent retailers will charge extra for a 2nd box if you didn't get the system from them originally. DNSC doesn't.
But if you need a 3rd (or even 4th) drop you will pay extra regardless of who does the installation.

Thanks for the help, I'll give it a try.
I've found a 721 on ebay for $515 have you seen any lower prices anywhere?

Dishdepot.com, $520 brand new; free shipping.
A first class business, many have been very happy with his service.
I agree with Angiodan, I have bought both of my 721's from Mark at DishDepot. Top notch operation, he is very patient and will answer any questions.
