Question about recording.

I just got my PVR reciever set up and was testing it out. I'm having trouble recording a show and watching another show on a different channel at the same time. Is this not possible with the PVR?

Dual tuner pvr yes (721 pvr), a single tuner pvr no(508).

Which PVR do you have? If it's the Dish PVR 508, it's not possible since it does not have a dual tuner. However, the PVR 721 does have a dual tuner.

If it's a black receiver it's a single tuner 501/508, It's its silver in color its a 2 tuner 721.

A 721 you can record and watch another channel, a 501/508 you can't.
