I have a DP up, and another I havent listed yet. Someone local contacted me after seeing my item up and wants to buy both for likely $500.
How do I handle this. I dont mind paying e bay but how do people buy stuff before the sale is supposed to end?

If you have no offical bids (above your minimum accepted price) you should be able to cancel the auction. But if you have at least 1 valid bid, it can be a problem. You can setup a new auction with both DPs and a "Buy Me Now" price of $500 and then if anyone bids $500 they immediately win.

So I can safely cancel the auction since the reserve price isnt met yet?

Just cancel the auction and place "Item no longer available" as the reason. I've done this in the past without any problem. Doesn't matter if there are bids.

If there are bids it may count against you as it will go against the auction rules. Since there have been no bids then I figure you could cancel the auction and setup another one with buy now at $500.

I decided to let the auction run its course. Being brand new selling I dont want any problems besides I have thousands of dollars worth of seal presses and 3 m thermofax transparency tatoo machines to sell. The DPs are nice money but the bigger picture is more important to me. The DP might not sell its reserve is $250 if it doesnt then both can go to the local fellow.

You dont have anything to worry about then since you have such a high reserve.
