The Weather Channel's Mike Bettes is currently on the road for 5 weeks with tornado researchers, doing a show called Vortex 2.
He is doing occasional live streaming video updates everyday at the following link.

Pretty interesting stuff for folks that have an interest in storms and tornadoes.

Here is another link to a page on TWC's site that briefly explains the program.

Yet another segment not related to the weather that's actually occurring in your area. Storm Stories, When Weather Changed History...does TWC even DO actual weather anymore?

Hey, I'm a weather nut if there ever was one. I almost became a meterologist. I love tornadoes and severe weather stuff--it's fun; but this peripheral documentary crap has got to stop on TWC.

Or, how about this--why doesn't TWC create a separate channel to broadcast stuff like this so their original channel can uh, I don't know, forecast the frickin' weather?

You don't go to HD to show doplar screen shots and they need people to pay for advertising space.
