I'm getting a basic level Dell notebook, the Studio 15 (Specs below) and am wondering if it will run DirecTv2pc?
My current HP zv5000 cannot. Due to lack of memory but also I get an error about the lcd not being HTPC compatible?? Does anyone have this computer (the Dell Studio 15, base model, with ATI 256Mb graphics card addon) and will it run Directv2pc ok?

Dell Studio 15 specs;

Intel core 2 duo, 2.0Ghz, 800Mmhz Fsb
3gb ddr ram
250gb hdd
Ati 256mb seperate video card.
15.1' "HD led monitor

That's all I can remember now. It's not a top end pc. But the specs almost match my dell desktop Inspiron 530 I bought in 2007 (see link for MORE DETAIL in sig for specs) It runs Directv2pc just fine. So what do you all think?

Thanks

I would say that you're safe, but what is the model number of the GPU?

I'm quite sure it will work fine. My XPS has less of a GPU and works great.

I see no problem with a 32 bit OS and this hardware.
I use much less [single core & ATI 3650] and it works fine/great.

If you don't know... then it's 32bit. You'd know if it was 64bit [XP does come in 64bit] since none of the 32bit drivers would work.
