View Full Version : NBC is renewing "Law & Order" for a record-tying 20th season.
"Law & Order" will stand with "Gunsmoke" as TV's longest-running prime-time drama. The Western aired from 1955 to 1975 on CBS.

That's great news! I felt this season was the strongest since Orbach left.

And you can bet that NBC will renew it for a 21st season (just for the sole purpose of breaking that record)

Never seen it. I have seen Gunsmoke, however.

Never seen it. I have seen Gunsmoke, however.
I also have to admit that I have seen just about every episode of Gunsmoke but never once turned on an episode of Law & Order.

I think I'm the exact opposite.

That's where I recognize him from. :)

I like Jeremy Sisto and Anthony Anderson too.I didn't remember till last night, but Anthony Anderson was in "Me Myself and Irene".He played one on Jim Carey's son's.
He was hilarious in that !!! Sam Watersons diminished role in the show hurts the "Order" part it I think. This other guy should disappear. There's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way.

We finally gave up on L&O last year after having been with it since the early 1990s (and having caught the earlier ones in reruns.) It's not that it got bad, it was just... enough already.
I find that the inevitable cast changes keep it fresh for me.

This is likely to be the last season. NBC has put it in a Friday death timeslot.

From looking at NBC's schedule, just about any night is going to be disastrous
