I made a disc just Tuesday and it worked like a champ (data files). What type of drive are you using?

I would expect this sort of problem from pre-release software.

I recorded a movie during the HBO free preview but I had to record the recording to make it more usable.

I have a d11-500 hooked up to the wintv hvr 1800 via s-video.

Maybe thats why you are having a problem... you do not have the legal right to transfer an HBO program to a DVD.

that is why a played the recorded movie on desktop and rercorded it again on laptop. I used the analog hole to remove the copy protection.
