When I upgraded to HD a Slimline-5 was installed. And the installer left my old round dish in garage. Is there any reason I shoud keep this dish and if not where should I dispose of it?

trashcan or recycle it at a scrapyard

summer house/winter house
camping/tailgating
emergency backup
if none of those apply, or you can't think of another reason to need SD service in a remote location turn it into a bird bath/bird feeder or ditch it.

If none of the above, then drop it off at Goodwill.

Set it up in your back yard and use it for Target Practice :D

I put two of my old dishes out for the recycle folks. I looked out about an hour later and they were both gone....recycle truck didn't arrive until three hours later. :D

It's a parabolic reflector, which is handy for a number of things. This has come up before...
You could give it a mirror finish, mount a light of some sort where the LNB goes aimed at the center, and use it as a spotlight.
Or, if you need some long-distance wifi action, mount an antenna where the LNB would go and aim it towards the other wifi radio.
Freak your neighbors out - paint it black, mount it on a short stick, and walk around your yard with it!
Others have suggested a birdbath, but it will eventually corrode and leak. Plus, it's shallow, even for a birdbath.
If you ever want to peak the levels from each sat, you could set up a multi-reflector array. This would get expensive with the other equipment you'd need, though.
Just some thoughts.

<snip>I knew someone who did this... He said getting the two ends (one dish at each end) was a PITA, but once he did he had Internet in his barn (a good distance away).
