Is there anyway for me to see the Dish 110 channels using the D* Sat-C LNB? Currently I have the D* Multiplus Para Todos dish and am using it to receive both D* and E*. From E* I get 110/119 and from D* I get 101. Now I can just change the 119 lnb to a dual lnb and receive 119 just fine for both services. But what about 110. Can I just buy a dual Sat-C lnb and use it to receive E* channels from 110? Or is this not possible due to some hardware differences? I'm thinking of adding on a cheap E86 so I can sub to the new D* package. Thx

No because the Sat-C kit maps the three transponders that Direct has on 110 to 119, so it looks like to the reciever they are on 119. It is not a general LNB switch combo.
rowdymon,
I am interested in this thread, but very confused. I just got a new Para Todos dish, but in looking at the satellite charts, it appears that there is very little on DirecTV at the 110 slot. More than anything I want to get GolTV which is on the Dish network only and is on their 110. Is there any way possible to do this with one dish, even if it means replacing the new LNB arm of my recently installed dish?

So there is no way to receive both 110 on E* and 110 on D* using just one lnb (aka, just one dish)?
Guest, D* has HDTV on its 110 which is what I want. If you wanted to, you could replace the 110 SATckit lnb with a generic D* or E* lnb and you can receive all the 110 channels from E*.
rowdymon,
Where do I find a generic lnb? Do I have what I need from the DirecTV dual-lnb I just replaced? How easy is it to do?
When I sign up for programming, am I considered a new Dish customer so I can get a low price on a receiver?
Thanks for all your help. Sorry if my questions are too simple.

If you have a Directv dual lnb, you can use one of the outputs from that lnb to feed into your dishnetwork receiver. However, I don't think you can use the SatcKit LNB (that is what D* provides for HDTV users). It's very easy to replace; just screw it into the empty 110 slot (assuming that slot is empty now; otherwise just take out whatever's in there and replace it). When you sign up for programming, go through a reseller so you can get a better deal on hardware; try www.dishdepot.com. Also if you have a dual lnb in the 119 slot, u can receive the dishnetwork channels from that satellite as well.
rowdymon,
The triple-LNB that is attached to the dish now appears to be a single piece of plastic. I don't see how to "unscrew" what is there. I have both a single lnb and a dual lnb from past systems and I don't see how either one could fit.

OK, it seems like you have a Phase III dish. If so you're out of luck, and you'll have to buy the older style dish with 3 separate lnb's.

I'll sell you a directv dual lnb for $10 if you want it...
If you are a new customer to DISH Network you can get a free receiver and free installation from DISH contact a local dealer.
Is there any place that I can buy the old LNB arm (101/119) like the one that used to be sold on the DirecTV elliptical dish?. If I swapped that out for my existing phase III arm then presumably I would just need a multiswitch to send the signals to my various receivers in the house. Right?
No the dish size on the phase III is smaller so your focal length on an old arm would be wrong and it might not even fit the dish.
Guys,
From the last post, it is pretty evident that I am hosed. Oh well, I guess I'll wait for DirecTV to add channels that aren't locals or HD. I won't hold my breath.
Thanks to everyone for all your help
You could always put up another dish for just E* only... that would allow you to receive 110.

My point is I'm trying to get as few dishes as I can. Right now I'm able to receive all 3 services (Dish, Directv and Expressvu) on the same dish if I want to. However I can't receive any of the Directv HD channels on 110 using my current LNB and I won't be able to receive Dish's channels on the SATC lnb. Sucks for me, I guess.
