I'm thinking about reducing my *incoming footprint* of the RG6 that comes into the house....

I have 6 runs (4 LNB) , 1 for OTA and 1 for Cable Internet. Add a telco grade 3 pair copper ***thick outside jacket*.

I'm switching over to fios and would like to utilize my current *hole* where the cables come in.

Thinking about reducing the RG6 down to 2 cables. 1 for DTV via LNB powered SWMS and the other for OTA.

I recall reading the outdoor LNB SWMS not liking cold weather. Out here in the Northeast - we do so our fair share of weather.

IF I just SWAP the LNB's....do I need to realign anything ?

If you currently have SlimLine HD dish, then it's simply a matter of swapping the LNBs. If you're careful you shouldn't need to realign your dish, although you might.

Do you currently have SWM-compatible Receivers and DVRs? Only the newer ones are SWM-compatible.

The WNC ones have that 'issue' but they still are in the supply chain so I am sure there have been revisions to remedy that issue. But I think it had to be below 0F for the issues to show. The thread is still around.

You might, there are tiny differences between the WNC and Eagle Aspens signal strength wise.

The WNC ones have a white lens cap on them, Aspens have a cloudy looking clear one and Zinwells have a clear lens cap.
