It says hello and then it goes black and lights just pace across the different formats. Is my H20 bricked or is there something I can do to fix it? I'm going to check to see if it was part of that recall last year but I'm not sure. Hopefully I can get it working.

Thanks.

I would suggest making sure that nothing is laying on your remote (such as stuck in a couch cushion).... if not: unplug the unit for 15 minutes, then plug back in and report what happens.

Will do. Unplugged unit for about 3 minutes and remote was not touched.

Thanks.

How is your weather right now, especially south of you?

Also: be sure to leave the unit unplugged for a solid 15 minutes.

I would actually take the batteries out of the remote to make sure it's not a stuck button. Probably isn't, I'm just saying.

Now the thing gets no power at all. Guess it is time to call direct tv.

Was that 15 minutes already?

If so: leave it plugged in and let it sit for a bit.

Those are common symptoms of a dead Receiver. Call DirecTV for a replacement.
