I'm adding a new HD DVR which will be here on Monday. I'm running the cable myself since it wouldn't be included in a basic install and I've just had bad luck with Ironwood around here. I've got the normal slimline from a few years ago (not the side car). Is that a 5-lnb dish? Right now I've got two DVRs hooked up, an old SD DVR and an HR20. I'm assuming I'm going to have to add a switch? What's the most cost effective way to get 3 DVRs going (utilizing both tuners on all 3)? Everything will have to be mounted outside.

Are your two DVRs currently connected directly to your dish's four outputs? If yes, then you need to add a Zinwell WB68 multiswitch (http://www.solidsignal.com). Connect the dish's four outputs to the four SAT INPUTS on the Zinwell, then you'll have eight outputs for your 3 DVRs, leaving two outputs free.

Well I poked around some more and decided to buy this (http://cgi.ebay.com/DirecTV-Zinwell-MS6X8WB-Z-Multi-Switch-Direct-TV_W0QQitemZ170341187738QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Defa ultDomain_0?hash=item27a920409a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A13 18|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50) for only $20. Hopefully it works out. :)

Yes, I'm using all 4 of the outputs. Hopefully that one I bought off ebay will work well, looks like it's a newer version of the WB68? Not sure why he's so cheap, that same one is $57.99 at solidsignal.
