Aye yi yi! Both choices look pretty hard to me! Fortunately, this is only a opinion poll, and worth one participation point, and closes after midnight next Wednesday night.

I would have definitely done the Mozart one with the bass. While I've never been to Austria, I knew that Beethoven lived in several places in Austria.
What I didn't understand was when Phil was explaining the detour, he made it sound like the teams had to walk to the destination. However, it seemed like most of them took a train so they didn't have to carry the bass so far. Was this legal?

I'll have to go to the "tape", or should I say, "Hard Drive".

IIRC, they were told that the destinations for both options were between 5 and 15 miles away. I can't imagine them making the teams walk, although I can see them precluding them from using cabs.
Can you imagine the Pigskin Posse and the models with random letters pretending to be names walking 11 miles to Mozart?

Okay, I went to the PVR and here is what Phil said exactly:
“A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with it’s own pros and cons. In this detour, teams have to choose between two musical giants who lived in Vienna: Mozart and Beethoven.
In Mozart, teams must carry a stringed bass six miles to this house where Mozart wrote The Marriage of Figaro. The house is well known, and finding it should be simple, but lugging a bass fiddle across town could be exhausting.
In Beethoven, teams must carry a portfolio of sheet music eleven miles to this house where Beethoven wrote a famous letter known as The Heiligenstadt Testaments. It’s not a physically demanding task, but in a city where Beethoven occupied at least five different homes during his lifetime, finding this little known house could take a while.”
So, no mention that the teams had to walk to the destinations.
