My Uncle's system has been acting funny lately (First I knew about it was yesterday). His HD channels are going out, and when I checked signal strength, I noticed they had dropped. My first thought of course was that the dish had moved. However, upon closer inspection today, something strange is going on. The problem is only affecting Ka Conus transponders. 101, 110, and 119 signal strengths have all stayed the same-high 90's, with the exception of applicable spotbeams, which are at 100-as have the Ka spotbeams. The Ka conus beams have all dropped though.

99 Odd Transponders 40's
99 Even Transponders 70's
103 Odd Transponders 50's
103 Even Transponders 70's

They were originally in the high 80's to mid 90's. My next thought was BBCs. I doubted ALL 4 had gone bad at the same time, but just to eliminate them, I replaced all of them, and still have the trouble. I HIGHLY doubted both of his receivers themselves were having the EXACT same tuner problem themselves, but just to be sure, I brought one of mine over, and it started having the same problems. The only thing left I can think of is an LNB problem. I don't have one on hand to swap and try out, but what do you guys think?

If it matters, his system:
5 LNB Slimline to 2 HD DVRs (Both tuners activated)

Dish alignment.

Even though JUST the Ka conus transponders have changed?

Yes, ku can still be spot on while you're off the ka beam.
The difference between odd and even also points towards misalignment.

It's come THAT far out of alignment on it's own though? I checked, and everything's all tightened down.
I know I'm coming off sounding like I don't believe you, or I'm ungrateful, couldn't be farther from the truth. I just come off like that, lol, and also surprised. Plus, I REALLY don't want to drag everything out to align it lol

I just HATE dragging that stuff around lol Don't have much choice though I guess. I WISH they'd make a fairly cheap costing meter that would with SWM and could read the 99 and 103 birds!
