View Full Version : How do I get the SAP audio feed?

I have an HR-21, and am watching a program that is advertised as having a Separate Audio Program. The manual says if the program has SAP, an icon will appear in the info banner, and I can switch to it. But I see no such icon. Is there something I should do to enable SAP? Or, maybe the source is missing SAP despite what they (FSC) claim?

Thanks,
Reza

You can change the audio with either the green or yellow button.

If there is no separate audio track the info might just be off.

RezaThe only place I have ever seen the SAP Icon is on the the mix channels 102, 205, etc. Then you can press the green button and it will cycle through the sound of all the different channels displayed. It does the same thing as the arrow keys, but the yellow box doesn't highlight the window you are listening to. (No big deal, but SAP is Secondary Audio Program).

Thanks, guys. It looks like it's a source problem then. Fox Soccer Channel and GOL TV quite often list commentaries in multiple language for their games, along with the names of the announcers in each language, etc. I tried listening to the SAP for a game for the first time recently, and noticed the problem in my original post. I will check out a few other games on these two channels to see if this was a one time thing.

BTW, I think I read in the manual that I can switch to SAP when watching a program live. Is SAP an available option for a recorded program, too?

Thanks,
Reza
