I moved to a new house on march 20th. Directv installed a slimline 3 so i only have the 99/101/103 sats. I was having lots of signal issues so i called the guy again and he came out and it helped. But i notice at night time usually ill get some hd channels that give me 771 no signal. Are my 103c signals low and could this be whats causing it. I checked dishpointer and the trees i have shouldn't be in the way, and if they were it would be blocking 99 and not 103.

103c signals
87 40 84 45 82 47 82 53
81 50 82 55 82 54 NA NA
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

The signals on my other c sats seem good.
101 is
96 97 95 41 95 99 97 100
96 98 97 0 97 100 97 100
96 100 97 0 98 100 97 100
96 0 96 97 97 100 96 100

and 99c is
83 91 83 91 69 88 80 89
80 88 80 89 82 89 NA NA
NA repeating

I think i have 90 days where i can have them adjust it free, but id rather do it myself if its easy enough so i dont have to take off work or use up a saturday. Any advice or instructions on what aiming i need to adjust for the 103 without throwing off my 99 and 101 sats?

I would start with very small elevation adjustments. Make sure the right bolts are loose when adjusting and locking all bolts after the alignment

Double check the mast bolts, and monopole bolts.

Wow, thanks for the help. I got up there and both the azimuth and elevation bolts had never been tightened down. i got a couple of numbers off elevation but i went from 42 to 60 by fixing the azimuth.

my 103c numbers now are
95 58 92 64 88 65 88 70
86 69 86 69 85 70 NA NA

It seems kind of strange that all the evens are so much lower than the odds on 103c to me.

Typical with small misalignments.

Typical with small misalignments.

Interesting, I would have never figured that. I checked mine on 103c and all the evens are slightly lower than the odds:

01-08 - 91 83 88 80 87 81 85 81
09-16 - 87 79 83 81 85 81

Maybe a slight tweak in skew is needed?

how is skew adjusted?

how is skew adjusted?

There's three bolts holding the skew adjustment plate to the AZ/EL head. But I wouldn't mess with the tilt.

Try small azimuth adjustments.

azimuth is how i got it into the 60s from the 40's. weve peaked 103 with both azimuth and elevation but still get the low even transponders.

Is the mast level?

looking on top, the bubble is completely within the black circle, but not perfectly in the center of it

Make sure the Lnb bolts are snugged up, some of the different makes of lnbs fit snugger than others. Make sur the lnb won't wiggle at all.
Also check the bolts at the base of the monopoles, especially the one that goes through the end of the monopole.

Make sure there is not any condensation in the lens if you have the clear ones. or crack in lens of white cap ones.

Thanks for the help guys, ended up being a bad LNB. swapped out and now all 90+ on 103c a lot of tech will just point and leave. Your levels should be extremly good if you have no trees. I live in the northeast and the Sats sit very low for me and my levels are as follows.
103C
100 100 95 93 96 94 94 91 95 92 95 99 98 95
