Why is it so hard for DirecTV to have accurate guide data? I pointed out an error over a month ago to them, they acknowledged it and said it would be corrected ... yet here a month later, the issue remains.
Basic issue is this .... if I go the DirecTV's "the guide" page at http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/epg/theGuide.jsp and enter my local zip code of 17325, I get the listing of all the channels available. Problem is, I don't get 2/3rds of the local channels that are being shown in the guide (mostly from Wash. DC).
The part of my Harrisburg DMA (in the 172xx zip) gets those channels, but those in the 173xx zip don't. I know there are all kinds of rules and criteria for who gets channels ... I'm not arguing that ... but is it so hard to be able to simply enter your zip code, and get an accurate listing of channels for your respective zip code? Apparently so.
