View Full Version : Will small dent on edge affect dish?
Before installing my dish, it fell off the workbench and got a small nicket sized dent on the upper right hand edge. Will this affect reception or performance??

The amount of loss should be negligible, unless the dish itself has been bent.
It was just on the edge of the dish, so it should be ok.
Thanks for responding!!

My dad dropped his dish from about 10-15 feet a few years ago, and it bent the edge. The signal didn't suffer at all, it worked great until I replaced it with a Phase III dish.

A small ding will not hurt it but if there are too many dings in it. If the dish is warped then that will affect it more than anything. Since its on the side of the dish it will not hurt at all.
