Poor HD reception

I have less than reliable reception of my HD channels HBO and HDNet via DirecTV. I seem to have good signal strength from all of the satellites. My receiver is a Sony HD-100. Can anyone lend me a hand with what I should try or look for as a problem?

The issue is with DirecTV. To make room for the upcoming HD lineup, DirecTV has put HBO HD and HDNET on the same transponder which has effected the signal as they are having to compress the signals even more. Hopefully this will get better soon when the new bird is in place.
