We've been with Dish for 5 years now, have been out of contact for at least 3 years. Just wondering what kind of deals we might be able to get out of them ? I keep seeing the low introductory prices that both Dish and DirecTV are offering and wish I could take advantage. I'd consider switching back to DirecTV (had them before Dish), but I like Dish's hardware better.

We're still with our original 522 and single-tuner DVR's (older models, don't recall the numbers).

Would really like to upgrade one to an HD DVR and the others to whatever newer models we could get...

Looking at the current DVR models, what would work well would be an upgrade from our 522 to a 722 and also upgrading one of our single-tuner DVR's to a 612.

I don't get a paper bill, but when I login to My account at the DISH website, the bill generated a week ago spells out what my offers are. Peek at your most recent bill and you might find similar offers for someone not currently in a commitment. It shows two deals - one with a HD DVR and one just $ credit for programming. If you don't see that on your bill, phone 888-683-6074 and ask for details (like which HD DVR) for your account. You can also see what they might charge you for an upgrade to a 2nd HD DVR online in the Equipment link. DISH has a limit of 4 independent leased outputs, and that might prevent you from exchanging an older single DVR for anything except a 612. You'd be better off with two dual output HD DVRs but you couldn't have ANY other leased receivers. Remember that if your older single DVRs are 501/508, they don't have a DVR fee and any new DVR will.
